The objective of Course #2: Patient Evaluation is to teach you to better understand the medical, psychological, dental, financial, consent and medico-legal factors that need to be assessed and considered to assure success in placing and restoring dental implants in patients.

Once finished, you should be able to evaluate a potential patient to determine their acceptability for implant treatment. As well, you should be able to discuss the indications, contra-indications, benefits and risks with the patient from a scientifically evidence based position. As well, the reader will be introduced to the terminology commonly used in implant dentistry plus answers to several of the most commonly asked questions by patients.
