The objective of Course #1: Introduction to Implants is to give the reader a better understanding of what implants are, how they have reached their present acceptance, the materials, designs and techniques used, why they are successful, why they fail and further, when dental implants should be used. As well, the reader will be introduced to the terminology commonly used in implant dentistry plus answers to several of the most commonly asked questions by patients.
