Implant Placement

Yes, drilling a hole and screwing an implant into bone is very similar to placing a screw into a wall to hang a picture or a mirror.  But unlike hanging the mirror, the number and size of the implants you will place are dependent upon many factors you probably haven’t faced before.  Are you placing one implant for one tooth or a number of them to support entire arch?  How many implants will you need?   And exactly where?  And how many?   And how big? Is there enough bone?   And is the bone strong enough?   And, do you really know what’s down there once you get an inch or so into the bone?  What vital structures are down there?  And finally, will the restoring dentist be able to achieve an esthetic result?

If you’re the surgeon and can’t answer these Questions, you will not have as much success you expected.   And, that doesn’t make for a happy patient or a happy you.   But, there is a safe and easy Answer ….
